Chautauqua Institution Amphitheater
Alison Krauss and her band and collaborators, Union Station, return to the stage for a special performance on Friday, July 24th, 2026 at Chautauqua Institution Amphitheater as part of the Arcadia 2026 Tour. Bluegrass royalty returns to western New York as Alison Krauss and her 27-time Grammy winning band and collaborators perform at the 4,400 seat outdoor venue.
Some classic tunes will be performed featuring the incredible Dobro playing of Grammy winner Jerry Douglas on “When You Say Nothing at All” and “The Lucky One.” Following the release of Paper Airplane, this reuniting of Kisbell, Krauss and others marks a reunion of sorts and nearly 40 years of incredible roots music, beginning with their very first album and culminating in their Grammy-winning collaborative effort Raise the Roof with Robert Plant.
The evening goes on to feature special guest Theo Lawrence, a local Austin musician who plays country-soul ballads with all the heart-wrenching feeling of a crumpled cigarette-pack interior.
Tickets go on sale at $100. Show time is 7:30 pm; gates open at 7 a.m.

With 27 Grammy Awards, 9 CMA Awards and 14 IBMA Awards, this recording artist is the greatest female Grammy winner to date. The multi-talented Krauss was just 14 when she landed her first record deal and was only 19 when she first won a Grammy.
Union Station is comprised of some of the most talented bluegrass musicians around, including guitarist and songwriter Ron Block and versatile multi-instrumentalist and singer Barry Bales, the group also features highly acclaimed singer and arranger Russell Moore.
Known as the world's best finger and steel guitarist, Douglas has defined bluegrass and Americana music through his work on some of the genre's most celebrated songs.
A 16-time Grammy Award winner, 3-time CMA Musician of the Year, and the IBMA's all time leader in "talents" honored with 30 awards including 10 as Dobro Player of the Year. Douglas has recorded and performed over 1,500 albums with such notable artists as Garth Brooks, Paul Simon, James Taylor, and many more.
Theo Lawrence kickstarts the evening with heartfelt country and soul songs written and performed in a 1950s rock 'n' roll context. His recently released LP "Chérie" features his hit single "All Fifty States."
French-Canadian born and raised in Paris, Lawrence was surrounded by pop and hip-hop before falling in love with country music. Now based in Austin, Texas, he's trying his hand at a career in country music surrounded by the culture he loves.
Presented on the Institution's grounds at the Chautauqua Institution amphitheater. The facility, at the end of Chautauqua Institution, is an acclaimed venue in the region, providing 4,400 seats of comfortable bench seating as well as expansive lawn seating on a gently sloping hill from which to choose your best seat. Accessible seating locations are available as needed.
