Chautauqua Amphitheater Concessions

Amphitheater Concessions

The Amphitheater Concessions at Chautauqua Amphitheater are operated by the Chautauqua Hotel Company, associated with the Athenaeum Hotel. These concessions are part of a pilot program implemented during select post-season performances, such as those on September 3 and September 5. They are located in Odland Plaza, with a designated perimeter requiring a show ticket for entry. The program offers beverages including beer, wine, and soft drinks, served in branded, covered cups to minimize spills and maintain respect for the performance environment. Food items are also available for purchase, intended for enjoyment outside the amphitheater proper. This initiative evaluates food service, patron services, security, and shared spaces in a safe, family-friendly atmosphere. Temporary infrastructure supports these operations, with enhanced security measures to ensure compliance and safety. Hard liquor is not served, and alcohol remains within the perimeter.

Payment Methods Accepted

Concessions at the Chautauqua Amphitheater accept cash, major credit cards, and debit cards. Digital payment options, including Apple Pay and Google Pay, may be available depending on the event setup. Confirmation with on-site staff is advised for specific transactions.

Outside food and drink policies

The Chautauqua Amphitheater adheres to a clear container policy for all performance venues. Bags larger than 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches must be transparent. Water bottles are permitted but must contain water only; unclear bottles may undergo security checks. No outside food or beverages, including alcohol, are allowed inside the venue to support on-site concessions and maintain safety. Alcohol purchased from concessions is restricted to the designated perimeter in Odland Plaza and cannot be taken outside. This policy promotes a family-friendly environment and applies to all events, including pilot concession programs. Violations may result in denial of entry or removal. Security personnel enforce these rules consistently.
